Twin typhoons flooding China streets

CHINA (CNN) — Typhoons ‘Saola’ and ‘Damrey’ caused severe and widespread damage in seven provinces, mostly coastal, across Chinese mainland, authorities said Sunday.
Windstorms, floods and mudslides caused by Saola, ninth typhoon of the year, resulted in six deaths with two others missing as well as the evacuation of nearly 1.03 million people in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian, Jiangxi and Shandong provinces, according to a statement from the National Commission for Disaster Reduction and the Ministry of Civil Affairs.
